Is your child ready for his/her first dental visit?
Updated: Mar 9, 2019
Parents are always curious to know when to take their child for his first dental appointment. A child gets his first baby tooth at the age of six months. Tooth decay can happen even in infants and can be prevented. It is important to start caring for your child’s teeth as soon as they start to come in. Baby teeth are placeholders for permanent teeth. Correctly aligned baby teeth will guide the adult teeth in proper position and help your child to chew food properly. Also many parents are surprised to know that healthy teeth are essential for their child’s speech development.
I would highly recommend you to take your child to a Pediatric Dentist either at the age of six months or at least before their first birthday. Finally, both the parents attending dental appointments with their child would make the child to perceive proper oral health care as a family affair.
If you have any queries on your child’s oral health, you are always welcome to send me a message and I will be happy to help.
